Current Projects:
The construction of 2 single-family homes located at 3031 Pratt St. and 3879 Fowler Street was funded by Middle Income Workforce Housing funds through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. GESU was awarded $500,000 with a matching grant from Lozier Foundation for $150,000. Additional private grants will be used to fund the operating costs of the project.
Each home features a ranch style with approximately 1245 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a 2-car garage. The home does not have a basement; however, it will include a concrete storm shelter.

When We Were Under Construction:
July 1, 2025: Construction has begun on two new homes in the Clifton Hill Neighborhood. Once complete, these homes will be sold to moderate-income homebuyers, who may also qualify for down payment assistance. We are grateful for support from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s Middle Income Workforce Housing funding award, a generous matching construction grant from the Lozier Foundation, and project support funds from the Sherwood Foundation, Lozier Foundation, and private donors. Construction is expected to be completed in winter 2026.
August 9th 2024: Construction has begun on three new houses in the Clifton Hill Neighborhood. When completed these homes will be sold to moderate income homebuyers who may also receive downpayment assistance. We are thankful for the support of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development Middle Income Workforce Housing funding award, a generous matching grant from Peter Kiewit Foundation for construction funding and Sherwood Foundation and others for project support funds.
